Well, the past few weeks have kept us busy with kids hiding from the Grinch, finding the dog stuffed in the kitchen drawer, 2 trips to the ER, being woke up three days in a row while being slapped with a wire whisk across the shins, and one completely flooded bathroom thanks to the little monsters. Let’s just say, it’s put me behind schedule a bit and I’m hoping for a break in the routine!
Today’s post brings me to the fun topic of blog awards. I’m not on the up and up about blog awards or quite accustomed to how the blogging world turns yet, as I still consider myself an amateur.
However, recently I was nominated by one of my faithful followers, the thoughtful Harmonyspearls, for two blog awards.
Harmonyspearls.wordpress.com, “A life of harmony with pearls of wisdom” variety of thoughts on life and, kindness, inspiration and practicality. A beautiful blog with a myriad of topics. Please stop by to pay her a visit.
Shortly thereafter, another nomination came my way, the inspirational blog award, by the wonderful Ellie from newcreationministires.wordpress.com, a new follower. Ellie, a world traveler, author and teacher of His Word, explores the in’s and out’s of God’s nutritional wisdom. Another to put on your list of must reads.
I am overjoyed to see that others see my blog as an inspiration. I have viewed many blogs with decorated awards and found myself on the fence with this topic, ambivalent as to how I felt about awards.
However, I am reminded and influenced by these bible passages.
Whatever you do, whether in speech or action, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus and give thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17
17 You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” 18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. Deuteronomy 8:17-18
I am not one to take credit, but give credit to God for giving me the words and strength to share my story and experiences, hoping to impact and change lives. I am but a mere vessel for God to convey His message. This is what it is all about.
As a result, after some thought, I will no longer be accepting blog awards. I’ve very limited on time and it’s just not me. However, thank you kindly for the nominations and good thoughts. There are so many incredible blogs out there by hard working amazing people, that they would be impossible to list. So for all of you, please know that your blogs are something special and every one matters. Keep up the hard work!.
Once again, I am so very thankful to my followers and value each and every one of you.
