Will the sun come out tomorrow? You bet! But in order to see it, sometimes we must first get rid of the clouds. All the tragedy in the world lately can leave so many feeling hopeless, sad and lonely. Yes, horrible things happen but what we learn from these events makes all the difference.
When I’m sad, I’m instantly taken back to seeing life through my daughter’s eyes. Pure innocence laced with joy and adventure. Not a worry or burden did she carry.
Often times, I would find her alone with her favorite companion, kneeling next to him stroking his shiny, soft black head as he licked her and gave her those puppy dog eyes. For hours she would lay by him, pet him, and sing her favorite song, “Tomorrow.”
The sun’ll come out tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow
there’ll be sun
Just thinkin’ about tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow till’ there’s none
When I’m stuck in the day that’s gray and lonely
I just stick up my chin and grin and say oh
The sun’ll come out tomorrow
So you got to hang on
till’ tomorrow, come what may!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow
You’re only a day away!
When I’m stuck with a day that’s gray and lonely
I just stick up my chin and grin and say….
The sun’ll come out tomorrow
So you got to hang on till’ tomorrow, come with may!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow
You’re only a day away
Tomorrow, tomorrow I love you tomorrow
You’re always a day away …

She lived with such happiness and beamed with curiosity and excitement. If we could only just set aside our complaints and misery and focus on our blessings, taking time to appreciate the little things, maybe, just maybe our sun would shine a little brighter, a little more often. Life through a child’s eyes….beautiful.

May you be embraced with the sweet comfort from the Son of Love.
Bless you!
True words, Daphne! And what a sweet, sweet photo…..pink dress and rubber boots!!
